ESTABLISHMENT OF COMMITTEE FOR SC/ST
As required by AICTE, Deccan Group of Institutions has constituted the SC/ST Committee headed by a senior professor. This is in compliance with “The Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, No. 33 of 1989, Dated: 11.09.1989” and “The Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015, Dated: 1st January 2016”, which being statutory in nature, are binding on Technical Institutions. In this direction, Deccan Group of Institutions has constituted the SC/ST Committee in August 2016. Before this, matters of this nature were dealt directly by the administration through need-based committees headed by the senior most faculty members.
